How Did We Do?

From DOG to FDR, this year’s Victorian Chautauqua was another stellar event packed with live historical portrayals, lectures, music, unusual acts, and all-day activities.

If you attended one or both weekend days, we hope you enjoyed the many quality programs, experienced excellent food options, found a treasure at Artisan Row, commissioned a vintage tintype, toured the Historic District on the Trolley, rode the horse-drawn carriage, or entertained your little ones at Kid-Tauqua. There was so much happening, it’s nearly impossible to do it all.

Each year, we follow up by asking attendees for their favorite experiences or suggestions for improvement. Past input has guided the planning committee, steering informed decisions about programming, wayfinding, amenities, and promotion. Keeping in touch with attendees and festival volunteers is paramount to perpetuating a level of quality we aim for.

Some additions to the program this year included the Deaconess Café and the oracalistic mystic, Abacus Haste, who gave astrological, palm, and card readings. Lady Brion’s single slam poetry performance brought down the house, earning her a standing ovation.
